Restaurant Team Leader
Full Time –37.5 Hours Per Week – Including Weekends
Flexible
We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Team Leader to join our team; in this role you will be asked to perform a variety of managerial functions. This starts with providing our customers with consistently high-quality dining experience. To do this, you will need to motivate our staff and demonstrate superior customer serve skills.
As Team Leader, you will also help our team to meet its standards for quality. This will involve ensuring that all food health and safety requirements are met. Your job may require you to hire new staff, train them and create schedules that the dynamic needs of the Restaurant.

Skills required:
Must be fully flexible, hours between 8.30am and 6pm, will involve weekend work.
Will be required to use a computerised tilling system.
Will also involve usual jobs associated with working in a busy restaurant.
Must be Friendly & Confident for this customer facing role.
Be able to work on own initiative & as part of a team, able to adapt to the demands & speed of the business at peak trading.
Must be able to organise and lead a team and follow and administer company systems and procedures as required.
Good IT skills including Microsoft Excel and Word.
Knowledge/experience of stock taking.
Duties include:
Establish and maintain excellent standards of guest service.
Manage small team of staff.
Assist with stock taking.
Plan staff rotas.
Deputise in the Restaurant Manager’s absence.
Adhere to company policies and ensure that these are fully communicated to all team members.
To establish and maintain the highest standards of hygiene in accordance with Health & Safety.

Restaurant Team Members – Pot Washers
Part Time – 24 Hours Per Week – Including Weekends
Temporary 6 Months Contract
We are currently looking for Two Pot Washers to join our busy Kitchen. Working mainly in the pot wash area you will be accountable for the cleaning of the kitchen and using the pot wash, as well as following cleaning checklists.
The ideal candidate will be prepared to work hard in a fast-working environment. Experience in a similar position is beneficial, however we are looking for somebody who is hard working and committed. Training will be given to the right candidate.
Must be fully flexible, hours between 8.30am and 6pm, will involve weekend work.
Will be required to multitask, work at speed as and when required, work as part of a team, both following instruction and using own initiative.
Assisting both front of house & back of house team when necessary
Requirements of the role:
Good communication skills and able to work as part of a team.

Fully flexible in terms of days/hours worked to meet business demands.
Duties include:
Pot wash ensuring dishes are cleaned and returned to proper storage locations.
Keep work area clean and organised.
Assist Front of House staff with packing and unpacking dishes.
Collecting and stacking dirty trays.
Replacing clean crockery.
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
Adhering to company policies.

Chef’s/Cook’s
Part Time 24 Hours Per Week- Including Weekends.
Temporary Contract
British Garden Centres are looking for Chef’s/Cook’s to bring your ideas and talents to our fast-growing company of over 60 Centres and growing.
If you are looking for a role where you are given the opportunity to take pride in your work, where you can create your own ideas for specials and home baking, then we would love to hear from you.
Must be flexible, able to work as part of team & under own initiative in a busy commercial kitchen. Be able to speed up as required. Knowledge of standards required in a catering environment. Clean, tidy & hygienic.
Will involve weekends/ Bank Hols and School holidays.
Must have experience of working in a commercial kitchen.
