Visual Merchandiser

(Full time -40 hours per week)

Field Based

We are currently looking for a Visual Merchandiser to work in this fast paced, exciting, and very customer focused business. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, approachable and have excellent people skills with a positive “can do” attitude, plus a keen eye for detail.  With exceptional creative talent for maximising every sales opportunity. Previous experience in a similar role, Ideally within a garden centre or department store environment.

Please note that that this vacancy requires travel across all our sites and overnight stays and occasional weekends.

Duties will include:

Responsible for creating seasonal displays
Promotional activities and commercial opportunities to ensure sales are maximised
Quality customer service.
Motivating a team to gain the best from them
Self-motivation to meet deadlines
Displaying and merchandising a variety of products
Share inspire and educate the store team

The successful candidate will be:

Highly motivated and enthusiastic with a drive to succeed
Able to work using own initiative
Possess creative flair
Ensuring the highest standards of merchandising and inventory control are maintained.

CDM Specialist

(Full Time – 45 hours per week – Monday-Friday)

Having successfully navigated one of the largest expansions within the garden centre industry we are looking to grow our current Health and Safety team to include a CDM specialist

The role will be field based however, preferred location would be around the East Midlands area as you will be required to attend regular meetings at our Head Office in Brigg, North Lincolnshire.  Working alongside our Group Health & Safety Manager your primary role will be to assist senior leadership in the design and delivery of outstanding health and safety within our developments, maintenance and investments programs

Main Duties:

Develop and maintain safe systems of work with regards to CDM focused projects
Attend regular meetings at our Head Office at Brigg Garden Centre.
Promote and champion a culture of safety on and in all projects inclusive of all stakeholders
Work with contractors to deliver best practice health and safety on all occasions
Audit and challenge compliance
Assist in the selection and assessment of contractors and partners.
Accident investigation

Requirements of the role

Possess a Level 6 Qualification, Construction NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
Have a minimum of 5 years’ CDM experience
Have previous experience in a similar role
Proven experience managing contractors, including the upkeep of contractor specific documentation and monitoring the safety standards of their work areas
Be confident in preparing task/project specific method statements and risk assessments
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Hold a full UK Driving Licence, as the role involves travelling throughout the group and as such we are pleased to offer a car allowance

Audit Support (North)

(Full Time – 40 hours per week)

We are currently going through a period of sustained growth and have an exciting opportunity within our team who are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Audit Support professional to join our organisation.

This is a newly created position which will be field based around the central to northern parts of our business.  Your primary role will be to support the Audit Managers by assisting with the continued development, maintenance, monitoring and reviewing of the organisation’s Audit procedures and ensuring compliance.  The role will require travel across multiple sites which may include some overnight stays and occasional weekend working.

Duties include:

Reporting into Audit/Loss Prevention Managers to implement and deliver process, procedure and compliance across the business
Identify, create and improve business process and procedures
Resolve, train and follow up audit related issues
Engage Centre teams around training and development of audit and stock control processes
Utilise and train teams on business systems
Reporting analysis

Requirements & skills:

Have previous experience in a similar role
IT competent and able to use Microsoft Office primarily Excel
High standards and a keen eye for detail
An intrinsic understanding of legislation & compliance
A positive and outgoing personality and outlook
The ability to prioritise and manage your own time
Passion and drive to succeed and deliver results
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Hold a full UK Driving Licence, as the role involves travelling throughout the Group
