Plant Assistant

(2 x Full Time - 32 hours per week - including weekends)

We are currently seeking 2 x Plant Assistants to join our horticulture team at Winnersh Garden Centre.

Working in the plant area this is a high volume environment with a fast turnaround. The successful candidate should be physically fit as this is a very hands on role. A good knowledge of plants is preferred for the role as is good customer service and a high standard of visual merchandising.

The successful candidate will ideally have some plant knowledge and experience.

Main Duties:

Plant maintenance and care
Plant watering
Helping customers with their purchases including giving advice
Pricing, displaying & merchandising a variety of products
Quality customer service.
General daily housekeeping

Landscape Assistant

(Full Time – 32 hours per week – including weekends)

We are looking for a Landscape Assistant to work in this fast paced and very customer focused Centre. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, approachable and have excellent people skills with a positive “can do” attitude plus a keen eye for detail.

Knowledge of landscape or similar retail experience is preferred.

Duties will include:

Pricing, displaying & merchandising of a variety of products
Building products for display
Quality customer service.
General daily housekeeping

Skills required:

Good communication skills and able to work as part of a team
Work well under pressure
Professionalism and reliability
Good time management
Excellent customer service skills
