Garden Centre Team Leader Sundries

Full Time – 39 Hours Per Week – Including Weekends.

As a Team Leader you will lead, inspire, and develop an amazing team and ensuring all customers have a great in store experience.

Skills required:

Experienced in working in a fast paced retail environment.
Capable of owning a large department, driving sales through great standards and exemplary customer service
Some understanding of garden supplies would be an advantage.
Ensuring the highest standards of merchandising and inventory control are maintained.
Accountable for providing great customer service and have a keen eye for detail around the customers’ experience in your department.

Duties will include:

Selling of garden supplies and assisting customers.
Ensure we meet a high level of retail standards in stock levels, cleanliness & merchandising.
Drive sales through excellent customer service.
Work closely with colleagues, buyers, visual merchandisers, and communications teams.
Ensure hot spots and display areas are eye catching, seasonally relevant, link into communication themes and have the right POS.
Deliver excellent customer service.
Assist and guide team members within the department and be the point of call for sundries related customer queries. Assist managers and senior team as required by taking on specific projects as required.
Ensure Health & Safety standards are met.

Chef

Full Time 35 Hours Per Week - Including Weekends

British Garden Centres are looking for a Chef to bring your ideas and talents to our fast-growing company of over 60 Centres and growing.

If you are looking for a role where you are given the opportunity to take pride in your work, where you can create your own ideas for specials and home baking, then we would love to hear from you.

No evening work, split shifts or unsociable hours, year-round business.

Rate of pay negotiable, dependent upon skills and experience.
Closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day & Easter Sunday

Skills needed:

Experience of working in a busy kitchen
Creative at making dishes but also able to work to specs
Experience of cooking carvery is an advantage
Knowledge of HACCP
Able to manage multiple orders
Professionalism and reliability
Remain calm under pressure
Good time management
Level 2 basic food hygiene is an advantage

Duties include:

The taking of deliveries
Food preparation
Producing specials
Prepare, cook, and present food quickly and efficiently to a high standard
Monitor portion size and waste
