Christmas Staff Required

(Temporary Seasonal Positions)

Yes it’s time to ‘deck the halls’ (well the garden centre at least). The popular Christmas displays delight thousands of customers every year and are home to some fantastic brands and some unique gift ideas. And we are recruiting now!

We are currently looking for temporary seasonal Christmas Sales Assistants to work in this fast paced and very customer focused department. The successful candidates will be highly motivated, approachable and have excellent people skills with a positive “can do” attitude plus a keen eye for detail. Please note that you will be required to work weekends.

Duties will include:

Pricing, displaying & merchandising of Christmas products.
Quality customer service.
General Daily Housekeeping.
Creating visually inspiring displays.
Providing excellent customer service on the sales floor.

Compost / General Assistants

(Weekends)

We are currently looking for Compost / General Assistants to work in this fast paced and very customer focused Centre. The successful candidates will be highly motivated, approachable and have excellent people skills with a positive “can do” attitude plus a keen eye for detail. You will be required to lift bags of compost into customers cars.

Please note that you will be required to work weekends.

Duties will include:

Helping customers with their compost purchases

Quality customer service.

Deputy EPOS Manager / Goods In

  (Part Time – 20hrs pw)

Job Role

 A fantastic career opportunity has arisen for a skilled and experienced Deputy EPOS Manager to join our large and still growing Garden Centre Group. As an integral part of the team you will help to drive the business forward with a newly implemented EPOS system. Providing support to the Centre Manager as we enter this exciting new phase within the business. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills as you work on variety of projects.

 Based at Osterley Garden Centre you will report directly to the Centre Manager assisting in day-to-day duties of managing a busy EPOS system at British Garden Centres.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

Data input/integrity checks.

Goods in/out

Report analysis.

Stock taking.

Skills Required:

Experience of working in a stock management EPOS role ideally within a large retail environment with several stores.

The ability to work independently on tasks assigned to a high standard.

You will be analytical, a problem solver and have great investigative skills.

You will have a right first-time approach and a can-do attitude.

You will be computer literate with a good knowledge of Excel.

General IT knowledge.

Experience of working with stock control databases would be advantageous.

We are currently looking for a full time Leisure Department Supervisor to work in this fast paced and very customer focused Centre. Working in a busy retail environment within the garden centre the successful candidates will be highly motivated, approachable and have excellent people skills. You will have a positive “can do” attitude and be a skilled sales person.

Please note that you will be required to work weekends and bank holidays.

Duties will include:

Pricing, displaying & merchandising of a variety of products

Quality customer service.

Management of staff

Dealing with customers both in person and on the phone

Updating department rotas

Ordering of uniform etc for your team

Administration using the online stock ordering system

 The successful candidate will be:

Reliable and have a keen eye for detail around the customers experience in your department.
