Chef/Cook

Full Time 30 Hours Per Week – Fully flexible Including Weekends

British Garden Centres are looking for a Chef/Cook to bring your ideas and talents to our fast-growing company of over 60 Centres and growing. If you are looking for a role where you are given the opportunity to take pride in your work, where you can create your own ideas for specials and home baking, then we would love to hear from you.

Skills needed:

Experience of 3 years working in a busy kitchen

Creative at making dishes but also able to work to specs

Experience of cooking carvery is an advantage

Knowledge of HACCP

Able to manage multiple orders

Professionalism and reliability

Remain calm under pressure

Good time management

Level 2/3 basic food hygiene is an advantage

Duties include:

The taking of deliveries

Food preparation

Producing specials

Prepare, cook, and present food quickly and efficiently to a high standard

Monitor portion size and waste

Restaurant Team Members

Part Time –16 Hours Per Week- Including Weekends

At British Garden Centres not only do we aim to deliver a great experience in our centres, but we go above and beyond in creating an exceptional dining Experience too.

We have a great opportunity for a Restaurant Team Memberst to come and join our friendly Restaurant. Bringing our food and Restaurant to life for our guest to remember. Must be fully flexible, hours between 8.30am and 6pm, will involve weekend work.

May be required to use a computerised tilling system.

Will also involve usual jobs associated with working in a busy restaurant.

Must be Friendly & Confident for this customer facing role.

Be able to work on own initiative & as part of a team, able to adapt to the demands & speed of the business at peak trading.

Breakfast & Afternoon Tea with Santa

 We are looking for a confident enthusiastic individual to help make our magical Christmas events come alive for both children and adults alike!! This would be an ideal role for those who enjoy working with children and can help make their Christmas wishes come true.

Having experience in drama or playing Santa is desirable.

Santa Requirements:

 A warm enthusiastic personality

The ability to laugh in a jolly way -HO HO HO

Exceptional communication skills

Outstanding customer service

Have stage presence and showmanship.

Attention to detail.
