Head Chef

(Full Time)

We are looking for a Head Chef with both a passion for creating excellent food and the organisational skills to successfully run a busy kitchen. You must be enthusiastic and wish to proactively develop the growing business. This is a hands on role where team work and communication is vital as you will be in charge of a small team.

As Head Chef you must be highly organised, results driven and have excellent overall kitchen management competencies.

Duties include:

Stock rotation and ordering
Food Hygiene
Menu planning
Costing and maintaining the company food GP
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and adhering to our strict company policy

Skills required:

Basic Food Hygiene Certificate, Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Food Preperation, City & Guild 706 1&2

You will be required to work weekends and bank holidays, but benefits from no split shifts or evening work.

Assistant Restaurant Manager

Full Time (Permanent)

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager with both a passion for creating excellent food and the organisational skills to successfully run a busy restaurant and kitchen. The successful candidate will be both a positive and creative individual, who has a passion and an ability for creating good food and promoting excellent customer service. You must be enthusiastic and wish to pro-actively develop the business. This is a hands on role where team work and communication is vital.

As the Assistant Restaurant Manager you must be highly organised, results driven and have excellent overall front of house and kitchen management competencies.

Duties Include:

 Staff Rotas
Stock rotation and ordering
Food Hygiene
Menu planning
Costing and maintaining the company food GP
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and adhering to our strict company policy
To establish and maintain excellent standards of guest service.
Basic Food Hygiene Certificate, Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Food Preparation, City & Guild 706 1&2
Ensure all departments and team members comply with H & S and food hygiene
To ensure that all company assets, cash, stock, property and goods are well cared for and secure at all times.
To establish, maintain and monitor the highest standards of hygiene and Health & Safety in accordance with all statutory, legal and company requirements.
To maintain the highest personal standards of presentation, dress and behaviour and to ensure that this is maintained by all team members.
To maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all areas of the restaurants environment, utensils, goods and equipment
To carry out daily pre shift opening check to ensure the restaurant standards of appearance and cleanliness are to the required standard, as well as good housekeeping check, lighting, music, restaurant layup, clear fire exits.
To carry out last man out checks on close downs to ensure the safety of the company’s assets.
To attend training, team meetings as required.

This is a full time permanent position in our busy Garden Centre Restaurant.  We are looking for a person with a passion and flair for the restaurant and catering industry.

This is a very hands on role as such you will need to work to a very high standard and be proactive, highly motivated, organised and results driven with good communication skills. You will be working as part of a team in a fast paced environment.

Previous experience in a similar role in a similar environment is essential.

A good working knowledge of till systems is preferred but not essential as training will be provided. Carvery experience is desirable but not essential.

Adhering to company policies

You will be required to work weekends and bank holidays and must be flexible during busy holiday periods. There are no evenings or split shifts.

Plant Department Manager

(Full Time – 39hrs pw)

We are looking for a Plant Area Manager to join our forward thinking team. Previous experience as a Plant Area Manager within the industry is preferred, however, applicants with a proven management background with a knowledge of plants will be considered.

Working in the plant area this is a high volume environment with fast a turnaround. The successful candidate should be physically fit as this is a very hands on role. A good knowledge of plants is essential to the role as is good customer service and a high standard of visual merchandising.

The successful candidate will preferably possess either a horticultural qualification will be in training or had practical horticultural experience, to include:

Plant Identification
Able to identify pests and diseases
Knowledge of Plant Husbandry

The successful candidate will be:
