Cooks

Full Time 40 hours per week - including weekends

British Garden Centres are looking for Cooks to bring your ideas and talents to our fast-growing company of over 60 Centres and growing. If you are looking for a role where you are given the opportunity to take pride in your work, where you can create your own ideas for specials and home baking, then we would love to hear from you.

Skills needed:
Experience of working in a busy kitchen
Creative at making dishes but also able to work to specs
Experience of cooking carvery is an advantage
Knowledge of HACCP
Able to manage multiple orders
Professionalism and reliability
Remain calm under pressure
Good time management
Level 2 basic food hygiene is an advantage

Duties include:

The taking of deliveries
Food preparation
Producing specials
Prepare, cook, and present food quickly and efficiently to a high standard
Monitor portion size and waste

Front of House Assistants

Restaurant Manager

Full Time – 45 hours per week – Including weekends

Duties will include:

Organising team schedules, handling staff issues and authorising holidays and sick leave,
Interviewing, hiring and training new employees
Evaluating employees performance and providing training and guidance as needed
Managing various department-specific initiatives and ensuring that these are completed within the scope time and budget.
Filling in for absent employees and assisting teams as needed to successfully complete projects
Ensuring the employee follows company polices, as well as health and safety regulations
Ensuring a high and consistent standard of customer service

Team Leader -Leisure Department

Full Time – 35 hours per week – including weekends

We are currently looking for a full time Leisure Department Team Leader to work in this fast paced and very customer focused Centre. Working in a busy retail environment within the Garden Centre the successful candidate will be highly motivated, approachable and have excellent people skills. You will have a positive “can do” attitude and be a skilled sales person in order to drive sales through great standards and exemplary customer service.  Must have experience of working in a fast paced retail environment.

Areas of responsibility to include seasonal areas such as Garden furniture, Barbecues and Christmas departments.
