Kitchen Porter/Assistant

(Full Time – 30-40 hours per week – including weekends)

We are currently looking for a Kitchen Porter/Assistant to join our busy Kitchen at Studley Garden Centre.  This is a very hands on role and as such you will need to be proactive, highly motivated, organised and results driven with good communication skills. You will be working as part of a team in a fast paced environment.  Experience in a similar position is beneficial, however we are looking for somebody who is hard working and committed.

Please note that you will be required to work weekends and bank holidays.

Duties include:

Assist with food preparation as required
Ensure basic cleaning jobs are carried out as quickly as possible
Collect and wash up pots and pans
Clean food preparation areas and equipment, in addition to crockery and cutlery
Unload food and equipment deliveries
Keep the storeroom organised
Keep work surfaces, walls and floors clean and sanitised
General kitchen duties

 Skills required:

 Excellent customer service skills

Maintaining high standards of cleanliness
Adhering to company policies
Level 2 Basic Food Hygiene

Front of House Assistant

(Full Time – 30-40 hours per week – including weekends)


We are looking for a person with a passion and flair for the restaurant and catering industry.  This is a very hands on role and as such you will need to be proactive, highly motivated, organised and results driven with good communication skills. You will be working as part of a team in a fast paced environment.

Previous experience in a similar role in a similar environment is essential.  A good working knowledge of till systems is preferred but not essential as training will be provided.

Additional hours are available at peak times or to provide holiday cover.

Duties include:

Waiting tables
Taking customer orders
Serving food
Making hot drinks
Clearing and cleaning duties

Skills required:
