Shop Supervisor

(Full Time – 40 hours per week - including weekends)

We are currently looking for a Shop Supervisor to work in our newly acquired Garden Centre in the Harrogate area.  The successful candidate should be physically fit as this is a very hands on role. Previous retail experience, excellent customer service and a high standard of visual merchandising is essential to the role, as is previous management experience.  The successful candidate will be highly motivated, approachable and have excellent people skills with a positive “can do” attitude plus a keen eye for detail.

Please note the successful candidate will be required to work weekends and bank holidays.

Duties will include:

Quality customer service
Displaying & merchandising of a variety of products
Management & development of department staff
Key holder responsibilities
Ordering stock
Duty Manager responsibilities
Run the garden centre in absence of Centre Manager

Skills required:

Good communication skills and able to work as part of a team
Work well under pressure
Professionalism and reliability
Good time management
Excellent customer service skills

Sales Assistants

(Full Time and Part Time positions available)

We are currently looking for Sales Assistants to work in newly acquired Garden Centre near Harrogate.  The successful candidates will be highly motivated, approachable and have excellent people skills with a positive “can do” attitude plus a keen eye for detail.

You should also be physically fit as this is a very hands on role and some heavy lifting may be required. Experience in retail is desirable to the role as is good customer service, however, full training will be provided where necessary.

Duties will include:

Helping customers with their purchases.

General daily housekeeping at the Centre.

Plant Assistants

We are currently seeking Plant Assistants to join our horticulture team at our newly acquired Garden Centre near Harrogate.

Working in the plant area this is a high volume environment with a fast turnaround. The successful candidates should be physically fit as this is a very hands on role. A good knowledge of plants is preferred for the role as is good customer service and a high standard of visual merchandising.

You will be passionate about gardening, enjoy working outside in all weathers and fully flexible with weekend working.

The successful candidates must have some plant knowledge and experience.
