Restaurant Team Members

Part Time 15 Hours Per Week – Including Weekends-Flexible

At British Garden Centres, not only do we aim to deliver a great experience in our Centres, but we go above and beyond in creating an exceptional customer service experience too.

We are looking for Team members who have a passion and flair for the restaurant and catering industry.  This is a very hands-on role and as such you will need to be proactive, highly motivated, organised and results driven with good communication skills.

You will be working as part of a team in a fast paced environment.

What we Offer:

Main Duties:

Replenishing drinks & condiments
Making coffees.
Serving customers.
Running food.
Pot wash.
Clearing & wiping tables
Adhering to Health & Safety standards.
Changing bins,
Cleaning toilets

Must have experience in a fast-paced food business or coffee shop setting.

Skills required:

Excellent customer service skills.
Able to work on own initiative or as part of a team.
Knowledge of COSSH and food standards.
Good communication skills.
Professional and reliable.
Remain calm under pressure.

Seasonal Garden Centre Team Member

British Garden Centres is a well-known large UK retailer known for its high-quality customer service, plants, and restaurants. As a growing family business, we are driven to have the best quality customer service in our Garden Centres.

We are currently looking for Seasonal Garden Centre Team Members at our Bournville Garden Centre. As a team member you will play a fundamental role in ensuring customers leave our centres happy whilst taking pride in ensuring our centres are looking their best. The role will predominantly be between working in the compost area and tills.

This role will be for a minimum of 6 hours a week and be primarily working Weekends, but we will require you to be flexible. The role is seasonal, and the end date will be around the end of May.

 

Requirements of the Role:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Be dedicated to high standards of customer service
  • Good with technology – ideally previous experience using a till
  • Be capable of heavy lifting

 

Duties will include:

  • Delivering exceptional customer service
  • Taking cash and card payments on the tills
  • Stocking up the centre and ensuring stock is displayed correctly
