Plant Assistant

(Full Time – 37.5 hours per week - including weekends)

Temporary contract available for 3 months

We are currently looking for a temporary Plant Assistant to work in this fast paced, exciting and very customer focused Centre. You will be highly motivated, approachable and have excellent people skills with a positive “can do” attitude, plus a keen eye for detail.

The successful candidate should be physically fit as this is a very hands on role. Experience in retail is desirable to the role as is good customer service.  Knowledge of plants and gardening would also be an advantage.

Duties will include:

Pricing, displaying & merchandising stock
Replenishing stock
Keeping all areas tidy
Daily care and maintenance of plants
Watering plants
Customer service
Assisting customers with their purchases and queries
Adhering to company policies
General housekeeping

Requirements of the role:

Good communication skills and able to work as part of a team
Work well under pressure
Professionalism and reliability
Good time management
Excellent customer service skills
Highly motivated and enthusiastic with a drive to succeed
Able to work using own initiative
Flexible working hours to meet the business needs.

Compost Assistant

(Part Time – 22.5 hours per week – including weekends)

Temporary contract for 3 months

We are currently looking for a temporary Compost Assistant to work in this fast paced and very customer focused Centre. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, approachable and have excellent people skills with a positive “can do” attitude plus a keen eye for detail. You will need to be physically fit as you will be required to lift bags of compost into customers’ cars.  Previous customer service experience would also be an advantage.

Duties will include:

Loading of heavy products into customer cars
Replenishing stock
Helping customers with purchases and enquiries
Clearing customer trollies and baskets from the car park
Complying with Covid secure regulations at all times
General housekeeping

Requirements of the role:
