Unique flowers that thrive in moist soils
Sow indoors for surest results, in trays of compost. Cover very lightly with fine soil. Water well and place on a warm windowsill. A temperature of 15-20oC (60-68oF) is ideal. Seedlings appear in 14-42 days. Transplant seedlings 5cm (2") apart to further trays when large enough to handle. (Always handle by a leaf, never by the stem.) Gradually accustom young plants to outside conditions (avoid frosts) before planting out 25cm (10") apart.
Sow outdoors in a seed bed, cover very lightly with fine soil. Keep moist and weed free. Thin seedlings to 5cm (2") apart before planting out to flowering positions in spring or autumn, spacing 25cm (10") apart.
Ideal soil type: Well drained, fertile
Planting position: Part shade
Mainly seed growing in damp meadows, grassland and on roadsides, making it an ideal addition to the flower border and wildlife areas.

In normal circumstances, we aim to deliver items marked standard delivery (smaller parcels) within 5-7 working days for orders placed before 11am Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays).
Orders are sent via a DPD Next Day service. On the morning of the day of delivery you will receive a 1-hour delivery window via email or text.
Orders containing "pre-orders" will be despatched when the order is complete.
Pre-order delivery dates are estimated, and are therefore subject to change.
Highlands delivery is available with a surcharge calculated at checkout. Unfortunately we are unable to deliver to Northern Ireland.
If standard items are ordered with larger items marked Pallet Delivery, the items will be combined with that delivery method.
Please note that plants are not despatched on Fridays.

Larger items, including garden furniture, will be delivered via the appropriate courier. We offer a courier service to UK mainland addresses from Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays). You will receive an email after placing your order advising which service will be used.
For products held in stock we aim to deliver within 7-10 working days of your order, providing the courier is able to contact you to arrange a suitable delivery day.
Please ensure you provide a telephone number and email address to enable our courier to contact you and avoid a delay.
If we have attempted to deliver on the pre-booked day but no one is at the delivery address, the following charges will apply:- Pallet deliveries - £60 per pallet.
For bulk compost orders and garden furniture, delivery will be made on pallets. Unfortunately the delivery company will be unable to remove items from the pallet or take the pallet away with them and delivery will be made to the kerbside.
Please note that your order may be delivered on a very large vehicle, up to 18T and good access will be required. If you are unsure whether a large vehicle can access your address, please contact us BEFORE placing your order.

Orders for large deliveries to offshore islands and parts of the Highlands incur a surcharge. Please contact us for further details.
