Gardening is great for the soul and benefits both body and mind. Often, this time of year the weather is not great, however, there's still plenty to do in your garden and indoors. Houseplants and patio containers filled with seasonal colour can brighten up your home. January and February are great months to plan your garden for the seasons ahead. We have summer flowering bulbs, seed potatoes and all the vegetable seeds you will ever need to grow your own this year. There's nothing quite like the taste of freshly grown fruit and vegetables from your garden. That, coupled with the sense of achievement, makes growing your own a fulfilling and ultimately rewarding past time. The great news is you can start now. Get the family involved and explore the range of fruits, vegetables and herbs you can grow in pots, borders and even baskets. Plus we will have a selection of great tips to help get you started on your very own - 'grow your own' journey, from pot to plate!
We are grateful to the government for recognising the importance of our nation's gardens. We feel privileged to be able to remain open during the lockdown and help in keeping Britain growing. It is our responsibility to provide the safest possible shopping experience for you our discerning customer and our team. We understand some might not be comfortable visiting our garden centres. To get everything you need from the comfort of your home, we are pleased to offer you our online shop along with click and collect and home delivery services.
January is a naturally quiet time in our centres so if you do plan on visiting us there will be plenty of space indoors and of course, there are our expansive outdoor plant areas. If you choose to visit us we ask that follow these rules.
• We ask that you sanitise your hands before entering.
• Wear a face covering at all times.
• Please keep your distance from us and each other.
• Please only handle goods you intend to buy.
• Please pay by debit/credit card and where possible use the contactless facility.
Once again, we find ourselves required to spend more time at home. We hope that you embrace your garden or outdoor space and find enjoyment working on your gardening projects. We believe that gardening is one of the many activities that help us stay healthy in both body and mind. We hope your garden brings you respite from every day and becomes a place of relaxation and recreation. British Garden Centres are here to help. Keeping Britain Growing.
