Young Gardeners - Let's look after our birds!
This week we are talking about birds. Looking after the birds in your garden is really important in Winter as natural food can be difficult to find.
British Garden Centres have put together a simple yet fun way to get the kids to interact with the garden & wildlife.
Make your own bird food feeder.
We can lend a hand by providing a welcome source of additional food to our feathered friends by making your own free-hanging bird food. It's a lot of fun, they are simple and easy to make and will definitely attract more birds into your garden. If you make your garden a haven for birds you can enjoy watching them all year round.

Fun Bird Facts:
- RSPB confirms there are 406 species of birds in the UK! How many have you seen?
- Each garden attracts different birds based on the plants, trees & shrubs on offer. If there is a source of drinking and bathing water, food and shelter available you can definitely count on seeing some wild birds out of your window.
- Birds are great at keeping the pests in our gardens under control, from snails to aphids. That's helpful for your vegetable plots!
